Meet Devi Mark
For Devi Mark, hair has always represented possibility. He began his journey at just 15, driven by an instinctive fascination with beauty and transformation. Nearly a decade later, that early passion has evolved into a distinct philosophy and a growing international presence, yet the emotion at the core of his craft remains unchanged.
“What inspires me to create as an artist would be passion,” he says. “The fact that we can do anything we want with the hair.” For Devi, hair is both the medium and the message. It carries texture, movement, memory. In his skilled hands, the sky’s the limit. The act of creation feels expansive.
Emotion sits at the center of everything he does. “Joy,” he says without hesitation when asked what he feels while crafting. Devi believes that hair can shift confidence, identity, and self-perception. Participating in that transformation brings him genuine happiness.
Tools of the trade
Technology, in Devi’s view, has amplified the possibilities within the industry. He describes tech as an extension of the stylist’s hands, a bridge between imagination and execution. Tools have evolved. Platforms have expanded. What once existed only in the salon now travels instantly across borders. With millions of views across Instagram and TikTok, Devi shares his artistry, educational insights, and behind-the-scenes process with a global audience. His digital presence is about teaching and sharing, rooted in a desire to elevate the profession and make it desirable to a new generation.

France and beyond
Based in Paris, Devi is a color specialist, entrepreneur, and salon owner. His space, Devi Mark Hair, is dedicated to long hair and balayage. In 2025, he expanded with Devi Mark Studio, a creative content space designed to further explore education and image-making. His approach offers an alternative to the fast-paced salon model often found in major cities. He advocates for what he calls “slower beauty,” giving each client time, focused attention, and a dedicated stylist committed to achieving their goals.
His educational reach extends well beyond France. He has led training sessions in India and appeared at prominent industry events such as the Mondial de la Coiffure, reinforcing his commitment to knowledge-sharing on a global scale.
That trajectory has now aligned with a brand that has accompanied him since the beginning. “Since the very start of my hair journey, L’Oréal Pro has been part of my story,” he shared upon becoming an ambassador. Joining the L’Oréal Professionnel Global Creative Contributors, he described the moment as a dream realized. Surrounded by visionary artists and backed by a company known for innovation, he sees validation and responsibility. Devi’s ambition is clear. He wants to revalorize the craft of hairstyling, to restore its depth and dignity.
