[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is an expensive hair styling tool that uses steam to style the hair. When I was using the product, I found that it was making noises (steam related I assume) and it was pretty easy to use as a straightener. It was a bit more difficult to curl my hair with. My hair wasn’t holding a lot of curl and it normally does without hairspray. I discovered that the comb on the product is removed and I think that is very neat and handy. I wasn’t looking for a new straightener when I was sent this but it definitely showed me a new way of styling my hair! The picture of me showed it ONE pass through my hair at 350°! I also added a picture of the product.

I like to only flat iron my hair about once a week and I may add curls on the ends through the week for added body when wrapping my hair. I absolutely am shook at this product because it works so well. It straightened my hair so well that all my friends thought that I went back to relaxers. The steam does get down to the roots and straightens too! The innovation of this product is amazing! It straightened my hair so well, even I knew, I needed a haircut and that something I have a hard time telling. Definitely get this product, it is amazing!!!! It gets a for sure 10/10 from me!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Absolutely great flat iron. Only reason I gave 4 stars - size of plates. I have a lot of baby hair around forehead and plates of iron tool are too wide to straighten this ares. Other than that I really like L’Oréal steam pod hair iron. Using this tool couple times a week and my heat looks great, feels great. At the beginning I was not sure if hair styling tool with steam going to be safe for hair and skin, but not I definitely see that it’s safe if you follow guidelines about how to use straightener properly. My hair is thick and wavy and I use this tool at lowest temperature 350F and it takes me 5-7 minutes to style my hair. Definitely great product.

I have to be very careful which type of flat iron I use. If not, my hair becomes very damaged. So I was excited to try this steam iron one. it not only straightens my hair. it makes my hair look not only smooth and shiny, but all very flowing in my daydreams. The best part is that this works on every hair type!! I really do love this. Both my daughters find this flat iron amazing. My oldest loves this flat iron because it leaves her hair with nice tossled waves, while my 2nd oldest loves it because it leaves her hair pin straight.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So when you open up the box you see the brand Rowenta - a high end iron brand. Looks like the two joined forces on technology for the hair. It is very easy to use and a little longer than a typical straightener to make it great for styling. The best part is the noise the steamer makes - you know it is working. Runs so smooth, feels great on the hair and results are perfect. I have frizzy hair and have been using straighteners for 20+ years - this is by far the best - the best I’ve used prior is a chi and this seems to glide better and maybe cause less damage to the hair. If you don’t mind the price then I say go for it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The straightener is very cool. Although I don’t fully understand how the steam works if I have to plug it in, it’s cool to use. But honestly I probably would not buy it again because it’s expensive and the one I already have does the job a bit better. Don’t get me wrong, it works great but it takes like twice as long to straighten my hair. Personally I also think it’s a bit heavy and bulky. And when I close it, the irons are not flat on each other (as seen in picture). And sometimes my hair gets stuck in the plastic and rips out... I really do like the idea of it, but it just doesn’t compare to other straighters I’ve used.

So I have used my fair share of flat irons and purchased many different brands in my 14 year career. So when trying this I thought it would just be like any other flat iron. Boy was I wrong! Typically for my coarse thick hair I need to crank up the heat to 450 so when I saw this only went to 410 I didn’t have high hopes in it straightening my hair that well. It did and with only 1/2 swipes! Not only that but my hair felt amazing soft! Because of the comb on it you don’t need to use an additional one to detangle the ends as you flat iron. You will not be disappointed with this at all!!

I wanted to curl my hair with the product as well, but honestly I just couldn’t get it to curl the way I wanted even after watching tutorials and using curl products to help. over all, I absolutely love this product. my new go to straightener. my hair has never felt so smooth and silky after using a straightener!

My hair was curled when I used this for the first time and I got it completely straight and smooth in minutes. I love that you can slide in the small comb I think it helps so much especially with my bottom layers to keep them untangled and smooth. I would recommend this product. I also like that you can use this as a curling iron. You are able to get that super cute beach waved look in minutes. I would highly recommend this because it is multi functional and I thought it was great for my hair. I have wavey mid length very thick hair for reference!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is easy to use, putting water in it for the steam is very easy. It definitely works for straightening but not the best for waves/curls. Since the wand is thick at the top, it makes more like bends rather than curls or waves when you wrap your hair around it. My hair is medium length so possibly could work for longer hair. I’ve had success getting waves or curls with a flat iron that is skinner, but not with this one. If you are going to try waves, I would do small sections at a time. I also recommend taking the comb out if you’re trying to use for waves. Otherwise for Straightening the comb is helpful.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been honestly wanting a vapor straightener for a while now, but ended up buying a normal straightener a week before receiving this. The first thing I noticed is how heavy and bulky it is. My wrist wasn’t happy after doing 1/4 of my hair. The first time I tried it, it didn’t work, like at all. So I did some research and watched more videos. So the 2nd time around, it worked, and it worked great! My hair was super soft, and pretty straight. I did notice it takes more passes to get it where I want it, compared to my other straightener. I did only try out the straightening aspect of the Steampod. I did not attempt to curl with it. It is just too heavy (for me) to try and curl it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the concept of the L’Oréal Professionnel SteamPod using steam to be less damaging on your hair! I naturally have very pin straight, fine hair so I was interested in using this product as more of a styling tool to curl my hair. Although this product did leave my hair looking smooth and healthy I found it difficult to maneuver in order to achieve the loose waves I was hoping for. Since my hair is so fine it dents / creases easily and I was running into that issue a lot BUT I am fairly certain that is due to user error not a flaw with the product itself. I typically use a wand to curl my hair so I think I just need to keep working on my technique of using a flat iron for curls??

I wanted to try this so bad and I am so happy I was able to because I would have been so disappointed if I bought it! I have thick curly hair and this takes way to much time to straighten all my hair compared to my babyliss straightener that gets the job done real quick. It also made my hair very staticky and I have never had that issue with a straightener before. It was not easy to try and make curls with it but it did make hair nice and straight eventually but in my opinion there are much better straighteners than this one.

The water tank is easy to fill, I am a bit concerned that over time the rubber gasket sealing the tank could break from wear/age. It does sound like a clothing iron while using. I slide the tiny comb out, as I felt it was impeding the device from sliding through my hair. Overall I really like this straightener. Made my hair shiny and left it soft! Does not dry out my hair like the traditional straightener I own. My natural hair is relatively straight, so I use a straighten when I want my hair to have a really sleek look.

I love the fact that when I used it I don’t feel that I am burning my hair. I won’t return to my regular flat iron. I received for free but definitely worth the money. I like it has a little comb that help to straight the hair. I have fine hair and not a lot. Be aware that you will need to grab small portions of hair to be effective. Also It is kind of difficult to reach the scalp but it is not impossible, you just need to find the trick. It uses distilled water for better results. Love it love it!

When I got it in I was little nervous, thought it was a little big and bulky. But then I used it and fell in love! It is so user friendly, straightening or curling. I don’t feel as it’s causing as much damage as my other flat irons and curlers. The styles also last. I have used on me and both my daughters and it works amazing on all of us, and we have very different textures and thickness. I was a cosmetologist and have used a lot of hair tools, this is hands down my favorite. I would totally recommend and buy this!!

I used it as a flat iron to straighten my hair so I can’t comment on how it would work for curls. You definitely need to make sure your hair is tangle free and use small sections of hair. The comb is small so I still had some pulling. I did notice some shedding but my hair sheds a lot so it could be just me. I do think it’s worth the price. I have another flat iron in the same price range and I feel this worked better. I used it with my hair right out of a ponytail and you can’t tell.

I have thick curly & wavy hair and use it to straighten my hair every single day and it straightens my hair in one go. And, it leaves my hair so shiny, sleek and doesn’t burn my hair at all! I find the first heat setting to be more than enough as it does get quite hot. Surprisingly, I like the comb attachment as it helps to detangle my hair and leave it smooth! The dropper bottle is really helpful in ensuring a mess free process. It’s amazing and so easy to create bouncy wavy curls as well. Would definitely recommend you to get it!

I LOVE this as a straightener! I have used it daily since I got it and it does not feel as damaging to my hair as my standard heat-plates straightener. My hair stays straight and sleek all day. It gives a good amount of shine to the hair, too.
Cons:
The little comb snagged too much so I easily removed it. It’s quite heavy, so it wouldn’t be great for travel. I tried to curl my hair with it but had mixed results. Some were good curls, some were just mediocre waves.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So, at first I thought this product was amazing. I was in a rush, but my hair came out silky. I had a few challenges with the comb function (which I thought was amazing because I use the chase method when flat iron my hair) and having to use it a certain way did not work for me. (I am not coordinated... don’t judge me) in order to get a silky look I had to go over my hair 3/4x. I don’t know what my hair texture is but I have thick curly hair. However I quickly got annoyed with the steam pod, with the comb attachment (which is removable) the weight, and the overall functionality of the product. I will continue to try the Steam Pod a few more times to give it a fair chance. But overall it’s not for me at this time.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have short fine hair that is naturally curly and hard to straighten so, when I received the steampod I was afraid the plates may be too big for my hair and wasn’t sure if it would be able to straighten my wavy curly hair. As soon as I sectioned it off into manageable pieces it was straight as a board in no time!
It was a little tricky at first to make sure I positioned the straightener with the arrows down on the right side of my body (dominant hand side) but as soon as I got that down, the process went quicker. I was impressed with what it did to my hair in a short amount of time and afterwards my hair felt very soft and looked like I had just left my hair stylist!
Overall I would recommend this product!

I haven’t mastered the curl portion but that is all me and I will eventually! It didn’t feel as if it was “burning” my hair and love the idea of utilizing steam. The only reason I don’t give a full five stars is because the size is just a little larger than what I am used to! This is not an issue, just a learning curve. This tool does seem to leave my hair softer and feels like moisture was put back into my strands! There is a comb attached to this tool (which is removable), so you just need to make sure your hair is thoroughly detangled and straight before using. I will say overall I am impressed with the results from this flat iron. The end result looks like I left the salon!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The shape of the steampod is a bit intimidating due to its bulky structure. But by far the easiest curling/straightener tool I’ve used! It heats fairly quickly once you hear the steam and the blinking temperature goes steady. The built-in comb really made it easy for the iron to pass through my hair. The end result is great! It left my hair silky and soft. The downside is it’s too big that it’s hard to have that curl a few inches close to the root. Other than that, I have no complaints. I’ll definitely be using this more often that my drybar hair tools.

I did take the comb out to do waves or curls to my hair. It was so easy to use. I do like that that give you a little bottle to easily put in the water to your Steampod. The only thing that I do find negative about the product is that it is heavy. When trying to do the waves/curls my wrist did hurt. Still I would recommend this tool.

I wish the next version is smaller and great for travel.
I watched the tutorial but wasn’t able to get the look shown. I decided to go with a flat style. It worked great! Love the convenience of the small comb. I didn’t add any hair spray, moose or gel after styling. My hair looked great for about 3 days until it became oily at the roots. ( I have oily hair) . I wanted to wash it anyways. I let my hair dry after applying heat protection. Next day, I tried to do the curls again. This time, i decided to just use the steam pod like i have used other flat irons before. My hair looked so cute! I loved how shiny and soft my hair looked! I definitely recommend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First Impression of Loreal SteamPod is that it is pretty bulky/heavy and I definitely am not one who spends a lot of time curling my hair even with a traditional curling iron, so getting into the feel of trying to create curls is taking some time.. which is more "operator" issues opposed to a problem with the flat iron itself.
I, however, love it for straightening. it does make my hair feel so healthy and straight/sleek. I have no complaints on how amazing it is as a flat iron.
I do use this several times a week, depending on my schedule.
If I would suggest any ideas for improvement, I would suggest decreasing, if possible, the heaviness of the iron and making the plates a tad wider. Other than that, I think it straightens beautifully.

Left my hair feeling smooth and straight but the only reason why I wouldn’t give it the five stars is because I couldn’t get my roots since it’s pretty wide and also a bit heavy!! Aside from that definitely 4 stars thank you influenster for sending me one to try it out I really liked it!!

It didn’t do much for my fine, straight, nonfrizzy hair and I expected to at least get the shine that everyone was talking about. It was also very difficult to use for waves/curls on my long hair, especially with the inset comb. However, I think I am just not the target customer for this product because I tried this on my mom and her results were amazing. She has short, frizzy hair and this Steampod made her bob look sleek and styled in a short amount of time, definitely surpassing any other tool she’s used before. Basically, I’m not impressed for my own use and for waves/curls, but if you have short, damaged, frizzy hair, give this a go- you might get really great results.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have never had good success straightening or curling my hair with other straighteners. I felt like I never had good control of them. This tool however has changed all that for me!!! It feels good holding it. It is heavier than others I have used , but it feels like good quality and, I am able to control it easier. I think the small small comb on one side by the plates helps to hold my hair without it slipping out, which I like. The small comb can be removed too. The steam seems to help smooth and help with frizzing, because my hair looked better when I used it!! It looked healthier and had more volume. I look forward to doing my hair everyday,and that has not been the case for a long time until using the SteamPod. I would highly recommend.

I used bottled Poland spring because I didn’t have distilled water, set it to 410 degrees, grabbed small amounts of hair at a time and spent about 4-5 secs on each strand. Even though my hair is pretty straight already I noticed the difference. I was able to achieve some bouncy curls, although not consistent (prob having to do with my technique and lack of skill). No issues with hairs getting caught in the comb as long as I followed the direction of the arrows. Overall a decent 2 in 1 hair tool

I always use and recommend always using a Heat protector when using any kind of flat iron hair dryers or any sources heat on your hair to protect it! L'oreal Steampod left my hair perfectly straight, super smooth,shiney n best of all non-frizzy! I think that the price is a little crazy and I'd say it's a little bit out of range for most people.. but it does work exactly as described if you want straight hair this will do it!!!

I typically don’t straighten my hair unless I am going out, in which case this definitely adds a glossy finish with serums and oils in hand! After trying this out a few times, there is definitely a learning curve for attempting to curl, but practice makes perfect! I can’t speak for girls who don’t have straight hair like me. It’s a great product, but I would not have purchased this if it wasn’t sent to me.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was so excited when I got picked to receive this product! I was skeptical because it reminded me of the old wet to straight flat irons from the early 2000s but I was so surprised by it! Filling the water tank is super easy and the product is easy to use. It left my hair shiny and soft. I compared it with my normal flat iron and I would say this worked just as well, if not better! Along with straightening it, I also tried it out as a curling iron and was blown away by that! It worked great!!
My only cons with this flat iron is that it’s a bit bulky and heavy. I have shoulder length hair and it’s hard to get the underneath of my frizzy hair because the iron is so wide.
I do feel like the price is a bit high on it, but I would recommend it to people!

I have messy semy curly hair and with a regular straightener I have to go over several times to achieve a look that damages my hair. at first it was difficult to use but with time it became easier. my hair looks healthier and lasts more straight than with similar pods or straighteners, I would recommend this and am open to questions for honest answers. #influenster @influenster #free #lorealparis

I have waist length wavy hair of average thickness and this straightened it very easily! I was kind of intimidated by the size of it but it is light and if you are used to flat irons then you should be fine with this one. I filled it with distilled water as stated in directions, turned it on and set it to desired temp. Heated quickly and started producing a little steam. I have not ironed my hair in a long time so it took about the bottom half of my head to get used to it but once I did it was very easy. It left my hair sleek and straight quickly with one pass. I highly recommend to anyone with longer hair that has a frizz problem as it left my split ends ssooo smooth and shiny!
